Delicious Divas Dancing Dreams

For the dancing writers out there, in the pages of my monthly e-newsletter, Caravan Trails, which you can subscribe to by going to www.gypsycaravan.us, each month I am extending an invitation to you to write about the chosen topic for that monthly submission. I’m dreaming about publishing a yearly dancer’s anthology, a tribute to you and our dance, and this is the starting gate.
Each month I will raise an idea or topic, so that you can visualize and verbalize something about your tribal dance, with a maximum word count. Some of you will be chosen to be published, either in edited or full form, in Caravan Trails e-newsletter and awarded a token gift from myself and Gypsy Caravan. Let’s share our tribal vision. And if you have art to share, let me see that too please!

You can get involved—by submitting to December’s theme:

*Describe a performance, of any kind, that knocked your socks off, that blew you away, that inspired you. 800-1000 words.

When you send in your story (or poem or art), please include a few sentence bio about yourself, and where you are from, and a photo if you have one. Thanks.

For queries:

Cultivator Press will read query letters preferably through mail, or email without attachments. To see if we are right for each other, include a brief summary of your manuscript, with knowledge of your intended audience and your potential market, with a short biographical paragraph about yourself and your publishing history. Include your contact information.

For proposals and manuscripts:

When submitting a proposal or manuscript for consideration, please follow our submission guidelines below.

Include a cover letter with a summary of your work, a projected page count, the intended audience, a list of marketing ideas for your work, and a list of published works that may compete with your work. Include a table of contents.

If your work is a full-length fiction text, include at least fifty pages (rounded to the nearest chapter).

If nonfiction, include three full chapters and a summary of all the chapters. If we are interested we will request the full manuscript for review.

To receive our response by mail, include a self-addressed stamped envelope with your submission. If you would like your entire manuscript returned, please include an envelope with sufficient postage. We will respond within two months. Telephoning or emailing will not speed up the review process.
